The Albany MTB club is pleased to present the first ever race at the legendary Poikeclerup site! Poikies has been spoken about in hushed conversations for many years but is set to burst into the public eye on the June Long weekend. Please come and enjoy the venue as a competitor or spectator but be sure to bring your best behaviour – The club is currently working with the City of Albany to do significant development of Poikies and we want to ensure that we are welcome back! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE:<\/strong><br>All participants and spectators are also required to follow all directions of event marshalls w\/regard to parking and track access. Access to the closest parking area is 4WD only, but there will be space on the Poikeclerup access road.  Please keep the roadway clear for Emergency Vehicles, and drive slowly and courteously, as it is narrow in places.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While this is a reasonably remote bush location, camping is NOT permitted and WILL be enforced by the City of Albany.  Two Peoples Bay Caravan Park is quite close, and offers reasonable tent sites and hot showers, and is only a couple of Ks down down the road. Kalgan River Caravan Park is also not far away, and there are numerous chalets and Air BnBs in the surrounding area.<br><br><strong>Food & Drinks<\/strong><br>Poikeies is a 25min drive from the middle of Albany, and at least 15mins to the nearest servo, so there will be Food (B&E Burgers, Hamburgers, Sausages etc) and Drinks available both days on site, but will be CASH ONLY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REGISTRATION NUMBERS WILL BE LIMITED – GET IN EARLY!<\/strong><br><br><strong>Saturday rego and practice<\/strong><br>Late Rego will be open 11am – 3pm. A <strong>$20 late fee<\/strong> will be charged.<br>Practice: Track open 11.00am – 4pm Saturday (Depending on Marshals).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sunday rego and race<\/strong><br>Late rego will be open 8am-9am. A <strong>$20 late fee<\/strong> will be charged.<br>Practice will be open from 8am-11:00amSeeding\/Racing 11am-3pm<strong><br><\/strong><br><strong>Prices<\/strong><br>Avoid disappointment & incurring a <strong>$20 late fee<\/strong> on track side rego by registering online early. If you cannot do online rego, please notify the Club prior so you do not incur the late fee.<br><strong>Senior club members $80<\/strong><br><strong>Junior club members $60 (U13, U15 & U17) <\/strong><br>Proof of Licence needed \u2013 MTBA Card or please show your receipt if you have done it recently.<br>MTBA\/Day licences apply for non-members: <strong>$25<\/strong><br><strong>Online registration closes on: Friday 31st of May at 7pm (WA time)<\/strong><br><br><strong>Volunteers will be required to make this round happen!<\/strong><br>Bring a Volunteer who can help over both days, and receive \u00bd price registration as a cash-back after the event.<br><em>Please let us know if you are bringing a volunteer via the Q&A in the rego process.<\/em><br><br><strong>Conditions of entry.<\/strong><br>If you do not have any of these items you will not be able to race (No grey area).    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Australian Standards or equivalent Approved Full-Face Helmet (NO two piece helmets)<\/li><li>Elbow guards (Any quality moto or MTB shop will carry these.) my suggestions are G-form, 661, POC, TLD, Fox, Alpinestars and the list goes on, these do come in hard or soft shell.
