After a sweltering summer hiatus, we are back ! Albany Mountain Bike Club with the support of 6Degrees, is proud to present our first Cross Country Round of the season, with a new course design from Lachy (first time maker, long time rider !) on what is promising to be a buzzing weekend for cycling in Albany !

Where?
Mount Clarence lower Carpark, off Apex Drive roundabout.
Please be courteous when parking, and pay attention to volunteers.

Juniors Race Start (U9 & U13) : 1330
Juniors Presentations : 1350
Seniors Race Briefing : 1400
Seniors Race Starts : 1400-ish<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What?
<\/strong>
Juniors will race a shortened course, <1km in length, taking in the lower section of the pilot trail and a mild climb.

Under 9s – 2 Laps<\/strong>
**Under 13s – 3 Laps<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n**
Seniors will be riding a series of laps around a 4.1km course mapped out on existing trails and firebreaks on Mounts Clarence and Adelaide. \u00a0The number of laps will depend on the division you are racing in, and are as follows;

Men’s ‘A’ – 5 Laps
Men’s ‘B’ – 4 Laps
Men’s ‘C’ – 4 Laps

Women’s ‘A’ – 5 Laps
Women’s ‘B’ – 3 Laps

Intro to MTB – 2 Lap

E-MTB Class – 5 Laps

Under 15s – 3 Laps<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
These distances are aimed at providing **1.5hrs<\/strong> of racing per grade. This is of course only an average, and your results may vary !<\/p>\n\n\n\n**
Entry Fees are $15.

***Please note if you are not a MTBA member you will need to pay insurance for the day. MTBA are still offering 2 months free membership at*** https:\/\/mtba.org.au\/join<\/a> for those who have never been an MTBA member.

Alternatively you can sign up for an annual MTBA membership – a portion of each membership fee goes to the Albany Mountain Bike Club, helping us run more events like this, and to purchase much needed equipment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who?<\/strong>
Open to anyone age 6 or over! Junior riders 15 and over should pick a grade appropriate to their skill level, but don’t be afraid to challenge yourself !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you’re new to cycling, or a bit nervous about mountain biking, we are offering a shortened version of the race so that you can have a go and see what all the fuss is about – Course will be the same, but over a reduced time frame.
