As part of IMBA Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, the Albany Mountain Bike club is hosting a kid’s ride from Torbay Hall on the famous Munda Biddi Trail! Get out with your kids and enjoy! We’ll go through some basic bike setup and mountain bike skills, and even throw in lunch!

Please note all kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times – including on the ride.  But don’t worry, the ride is very flat and easy!

What?    We will go through some basic bike setup (with the help of Impulse Cycles) before doing an hour long ride along the Munda Biddi between Torbay Hall and Elleker.  After that we’ll do some skills training and maybe a small loop trail from Torbay Hall.

Where?    Torbay Hall – we’ll start here and head out along the Munda Biddi, returning after about an hour.  We think the fastest may get to Elleker and back in that time – but there’s no need to race!

When?    09:00am, Sunday October 5.  We’ll aim for lunch around 12:00 and wind up around 1:00pm

How much is it?     The cost will be $5 per child, and adults are free! However, those who do not have a current Mountain Bike club membership will need to pay $5 for day insurance (kids and adults I’m afraid!).  The good news?  MTBA are currently offering free 2 months membership, so if you all sign up you won’t need to pay for your insurance!  Check out MTBA for the details.  The club will also be starting regular kids rides in the near future, so please consider a Dirtmaster license for your kids, and maybe a social license for Mum and Dad – and don’t forget to select the Albany Mountain Bike Club!

Funds raised from events like this go back into the club to help us run more events, and advocate for trails in the Albany area.

So how do I register?    Please email Brad at to register for the ride.
