Another opportunity to show the City of Albany your support for local trails:
The Albany community will be able to have a say in the future of its city by joining the City of Albany in reviewing the Community Strategic Plan.
The Plan will assist the City to plan ahead to 2030 and you are invited to assist in the review.
The City is required, under legislation, to undertake a comprehensive review of the plan every four years.
The review was launched yesterday on social media. Visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFJVqiOJUhQ&feature=youtu.be and will be open for community input until April 28.
Community engagement will be undertaken through:
OUT AND ABOUT: Come and have a chat with us at one of our community stalls, at our ‘Town Talk’ pop up café in the Town Square, and community workshops. We’ll be out talking at the Boatshed Market and other community events. Drop by to talk to the project team, find out more information or fill out a survey. We’d love to chat with you!
POLLING: We’ll be contacting a number of randomly selected households in the City. We’ll be asking you, how you believe we are currently performing, what is important to you, and your ideas for the future.
SURVEY: An online survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AlbanyHaveYourSay
This offers an easy and convenient way to have your say! Or if you would prefer a hard copy, pick up extras or jump online at the library. You can post it back to Reply Paid 484 Albany DC WA 6331 or drop it in to City of Albany Offices at 102 North Road or the Albany Public Library on York St Albany.
ONLINE: more information about the project, submission form, and the survey can be found at the City of Albany website: http://www.albany.wa.gov.au/…/comm…/community-engagement/#0
COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS: Join us at one our ‘Community in Conversation ALBANY 2030’ workshops held centrally in outlaying rural areas in the municipality. Come along and have a say about your future! See the schedule attached.
Several options are available to community to participate in the consultations between February and April, offering every opportunity to come along and be part of the review.
