Southern Peaks

Over 70 riders have already registered and are super keen for the Southern Peaks coming our way this September. The Southern Peaks event is a fantastic way to showcase mountain biking to the community and in the region and provide opportunities for everyone to get involved, ride, race, jump, volunteer or just be amazed whatever you desire!

There is a group of dedicated and great people behind the scenes bringing the best MTB event in 2021 to Albany. If you or someone you know may be interested in participating in any of the events, head to the Southern Peaks website!

Southern Peaks Volunteers

If you want to get in on the action without wheels, we would love for you to volunteer. There are plenty of ways to get involved and enjoy those warm fuzzy feels from a rewarding experience in one of the biggest events in Albany close up!

Buy Local – Support Our Sponsors

Our club values these fabulous SPONSORS! Their support allows the club, our committee and volunteers to deliver great engaging programs and activities in the community and region. These range from social activities, races for riders to get ready for state rounds, projects, coaching clinics, workshops, trail advocacy and bike education through schools! We are looking forward to continuing some great work in showcasing mountain biking as an amazing outdoor adventure!

Please show your support of mountain biking by supporting our sponsors.

Come and Try Social Rides

The six week Women’s Beginner Mountain Bike Come and Try kicked off in glorious sunshine on Sunday 15th August. A large group of 15 or so adventurous women arrived at their first session a little nervous, but ready to learn some skills, meet like minded people and just have some plain ol’ MTB fun!

Half way through the program myself, support riders Janelle, Jane, Julie and Kelly plus coach Dora are super excited to see this new wave of women really enjoying the wonderful world of Mountain Biking. We look forward to catching up with them all for future rides, even after the program has finished!

A few brave attendees have even signed up for the 17km and 39km Southern Peaks XC in September! A testament to their courageous attitude and sense of adventure. We are really looking forward to the remaining three weeks.

Stay upright, Jenna.
